Ephesians 5:22 says, “Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.” and in verse 24, “Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.” These are power- packed verses that, if obeyed, will usher in joy, peace, and favor from the Lord. The enemy has deceived the minds of women in this area of obedience to their husbands. The more powerful a truth in Scripture, the more the devil will try to blind and confuse the minds of believers. This is one such area. Obedient, joyful submission to our husbands will transform the home life into a heavenly one.
Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. (1 Peter 3:1-2). Unsaved husbands can be brought into Kingdom glory by their wives, if the wife is living out a reverent, pure, chaste walk with Jesus. Imagine no more nagging, fretting, or pestering your husband to become a Christian. The Holy Spirit works quickly when we decide to obey the Scriptures with a pure heart. There is nothing more attractive to your husband than a pure, reverent lifestyle lived out in front of him. Over time, he will be so attracted to your holy life, that he will want to have what you have.
It is crucial, in these days, that Christian wives start living out victorious lives by obeying Scripture in the area of submission.
